Code of Practice

The Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021
Kiwi College of New Zealand has been a signatory to The Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021 (“the Code”) since 2019. A copy of the Code is available from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority website.  The Code provides the framework to support the wellbeing and safety of tertiary and international students.

Fee Protection

All student fees are held in the Public Trust’s student trust account and paid by Public Trust to the college throughout the duration of your study.

Refund Policy

The refund policy is in accordance with the Education and Training Act 2022. Full information is available in the Student Handbook.

Programmes three months or longer:

For students in programmes over three months, Kiwi College will deduct up to 25% of the fees paid if the student withdraws within the first ten working days of the programme. Thereafter, fees paid are non-refundable.


Courses of five weeks or more, but less than three months:

For students in courses longer than five weeks, but shorter than three months, Kiwi College will deduct up to 25% of the fees paid if the student withdraws within the first five working days of the course. Thereafter, fees paid are non-refundable.


Courses of two days or more, but less than five weeks:

For students in courses longer than two days, but shorter than five weeks, Kiwi College will deduct up to 50% of the fees paid if the student withdraws within the first two working days of the course. Thereafter, fees paid are non-refundable.

Complaints

The Code advises that if you have a concern about how your education provider or agent is treating you, you should first contact your provider and follow their formal complaints process. More information is available in the Student Handbook.
